región cafetalera
Pandora
Unlike the Gregory mythology, this region's name of El Injerto means "the gift for all". It is a place that "provides the ideal conditions; it is the place of synergy". This parcel is where previous awarded winning coffee lots came from. It is divided in three different areas: North, Central and South.
Coffee trees are 18 years old and they receive just enough sunlight for the cherry to develop all of its components, according to field technicians. Altitude ranges from 5,800 to 6,000 feet above sea level and the total area cultivated with Pacamara is 7.83 Hectares.
As in a Pandora box, the owners have found here the most pleasant gifts as winning in 2008, $80.20 per pound, the highest price any one had received in an internet auction by that time. It releases, with the greatest gifts, hope and faith for a better coffee future.

La Calaca.
This word means skull in Spanish. The people from the village say it used to be the place where witches of the town would make their rituals. They have even found animal skulls as prove of their story.
The total area is 12 Hectares cultivated with seven different varieties. But it is the smallest region planted with Pacamara. Cultivated at 6,390 feet above sea level and just in time for El Injerto's "La Reserva del Comendador" internet auction, it will produce its first and unique Pacamara coffee crop.
Workers of the farm believe they have changed the rituals of those witches into a good spell. They believe when it is roasted and brewed, it will bewitch those who dare to drink the luxurious beverage.

Patagonia.
You would think it is named after the tribe that occupied once that South American place. The Spanish conquerors named that region "Pata gau" or big foot in Portuguese. But El Injerto's Patagonia name refers to the distance where it is located.
It is the farthest and also the vastest region planted with five different coffee varieties. It is as well the highest of all. Coffee is planted at 6,500 feet. El Injerto´s famous Pacamara occupies two parcels: 3.38 Hectares and 0.95 Hectares. The plantation is about 15 years old.
Villagers believe there is a mysterious lord called "Dueño del Cerro" or owner of the hill, that custodies the place. He is responsible for strange events. People could get lost because of the tricks that lord plays on them.
You know, the only one trick this Pacamara will play is its complexity. Unique and exotic characteristics combined with tropical fruit acidity. Sweetness subtle enriches the flavor, with a buttery body. Chocolate, spices and apricot in the finish harmoniously interact to create a feast in your palate.
